Octo Roma Limited Edition Finissimo

An ultra-slim octagonal case in stainless steel, with a see-through dial that shows the movement turning behind it and an open case back that shows the rest. The whole watch is thin enough to disappear under a cuff, which is the point of a dress watch and the thing most of them get wrong.

It runs on a Japanese quartz movement – accurate, no winding, and carrying a one-year warranty on the movement. The bracelet is steel on a butterfly clasp that folds flat and hides itself, so there is no buckle breaking the line of it.

Wearing it

Slim and octagonal is the combination that reads as formal without reading as old, so it carries a suit and a plain shirt equally. A skeleton dial is a detail for close range, which is where it gets noticed.
